MOUNTAIN VALLEY WINERY PRESENTS
“STOMP OUT BREAST CANCER”
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States,
other than skin cancer. It is the second leading cause of cancer death in
women, after lung cancer. The American Cancer Society’s most recent
estimates for breast cancer in the United States for 2009: over 192,000
new cases of invasive breast cancer and over 40,000 deaths.
Mountain Valley Winery presents “Stomp Out Breast Cancer” by the release
of their new wine, named “PINK.” “Our employees made known their desire to
get involved and show their support for breast cancer research and honor
those who have fought this disease, says Don Collier, owner of Mountain
Valley Winery.”"PINK" was a limited edition with just
1,000 bottles produced. "PINK" was released October 9, 2009, and is
already sold out. We appreciate everyone that helped make this
happen for us. We sold out 1,000 bottles in just 10 days, and we were
able to donate $5000.00 to the American Cancer Society. Our bottle
supplier heard what we were doing, attended our event, and they
contributed $500.00!
Since this turned out to be such a success, we are
already planning to do this again next year ... and even bigger and
better!
